Tue, December 11, 2007 - 7:51 AMPitching has changed too much. Too much managing pitch count and pitchers are not alowed to pitch anymore. It's not the same as when pitchers it in them to complete games. Now they pitch less innings and seem to get injured more often. -

Wed, February 13, 2008 - 10:54 PMYeah I don't recall pitchers back in the 60s and 70s getting hurt as often as they do now. Pitching counts and all are fine (esp in the low minors), but how are they going to build endurance if they aren't allowed to finish games? -

Mon, June 16, 2008 - 7:35 PMBack then pitchers wouldn't tell anyone if they thought they were hurt. They'd just play through it. Tell the skipper you're hurt, and you could find yourself out of a job. They didn't have MRI's way back, just x-rays, so they could never see the damage we can see now.
